30 May, 2023 - Isomorphic Labs has announced the opening of its new offices in Lausanne, Switzerland - the company’s second location after its King’s Cross headquarters in London.
The office is located at EPFL’s Innovation Park, on the EPFL campus alongside 500 laboratories and institutes. One of a number of EPFL sites in Switzerland, this main site hosts a community of 250 startups, scale-ups and 30 innovation cells of large companies. Many kinds of technology are represented at the Innovation Park, from AI to cyber security, to nanotech, robotics and life science.
“We’ve chosen to expand our work to Lausanne to build on the vibrant scientific and technical community here at EPFL, and the wider Lausanne area,“ said Sergei Yakneen, Chief Technology Officer at Isomorphic Labs. “We respect and admire the AI and biotechnology innovation ecosystem here and wanted to contribute to it, and be a part of it.”
Isomorphic Labs was founded and is led by AI pioneer Demis Hassabis, who also co-founded and leads Google DeepMind. As pioneers in digital biology, Isomorphic Labs’ mission is to use AI to accelerate drug discovery and ultimately find cures for some of humanity’s most devastating diseases. Using its AI-first approach to drug discovery and biology, the company’s ambition is to advance a new era of medical breakthroughs.
